Microsoft unveils their first localized Windows Phone 7.5 Operating System for China

The Largest software Company Microsoft unveils the 1st localized Windows Phone 7.5 Operating System for China. And to launch Windows Phone devices in China Microsoft is partnering with NOKIA, HTC, Samsung and ZTE. The company's partners are prepared To bring the mobile OS for the first time in the country China.

In Beijing on an event Microsoft has displayed their handsets from NOKIA and HTC using the localized OS. To launch Windows Phone devices in China the US software giant is also partnering with ZTE and Samsung this year later.

According to research firm Canalys, the Microsoft’s share of China Smartphone operating system market is only 2.8%. But on a recent meeting with reporters Simon Leung, CEO for the tech giant company’s Greater China region said that, they are aiming to surpass Google and Apple for the top spot. Also he said, These Windows Phone devices will be brought down 1000 ¥ and the consumers will have more choice in handset offerings.

The Windows Phone 7.5 with has simplified Chinese characters used in China. Microsoft has added apps for Chinese social networking and micro-blogging sites to replace those for Facebook and Twitter, which has been blocked in China. There are 2,000 Chinese-language apps built for Windows Phone devices, out of a total of 70,000 apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

One of the partner HTC has started pre-orders in China for its Kaixuan smartphone, which are uses the Windows Phone 7.5 OS and will go on sale this month later. Another partner NOKIA plans on holding a launch event for its Lumia phones next week in the country.
